CBD dosage and strength? For anxiety
I’ve been taking 1 dropper full of 500mg full spectrum every morning for my anxiety it has been helping ok. What dosage and strength should I be taking to get the full effect? Is isolate better for anxiety or should I stick with full spectrum?
I’ve been wondering if higher dosages were needed as the subjects were diagnosed with SAD and how well does that translate to others that don’t meet the qualifications of having SAD but do experience anxiety in public spaces.
“Many people know that taking too much ibuprofen or Tylenol can have detrimental consequences. CBD is no different. Generally speaking, therapeutic CBD doses range from 0.5 mg/kg/day to 20 mg/kg per day,” Martins-Welch explained. “This study in mice used significantly higher doses of CBD than what is usually taken for therapeutic benefit in humans.”
Extrapolating from mice to humans is not quite settled science so there is some controversy over the above numbers. It would seem the moderation is the smart way to go until more research comes back on toxicity.
In the end, we need more clarity and streamlining on the legalization side to ensure the best research can be conducted. There is such a patchwork of legislation making hemp legal making full-on research difficult or legally risky to conduct.
Correct CBD dosage for generalized anxiety — help please!
I recently purchased CBD oil and am curious about what your experiences are and what the consensus recommended dosages are to take daily that could help with generalized anxiety disorder.
I purchased a vial with a dropper from a reputable store that is labeled “CBD microdrops 200mg”. I’ve been taking 4-6 of these tiny drops every morning for a few weeks now and haven’t felt any changes overall. I also hear that more is not always better with CBD, is there any truth to this?
I am struggling with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia).
Can anyone here share their knowledge and experiences with me? I would greatly appreciate it.
Personally I am taking a full-spectrum, THC containing oil and do notice anti-anxiety calming effects at tincture drops under the tongue held for 2 minutes when I take at least 25mg of CBD extract content. Note that this is not the volume of the dropper, but the amount of CBD extract withing the oil solution. I’ve taken up to 150mg at night and slept great.
You say ‘reputable store’, but you don’t mention if this is an isolate-based oil or full-spectrum. I have next to zero results from isolates and great results from full spectrum.
Also be sure you understand how much CBD(and other cannabinoids) are in the 200mg bottle you have.
TLDR – Be sure you’re using a full spectrum product and likely you could take more.
